There are two main accreditation schemes in Britain, one is ran by The AA and the other by Visit Britain. Both schemes share the same core quality principle having worked together to create a bench mark for the industry.

There are a number of publications that offer rating schemes across Britain and whilst some of these may be suitable they are for the most part purely marketing channels.

So what is an accreditation scheme exactly?

Quite simply it is an assessment of your establishment against a set of criteria. The criteria (such as presentation, welcome, quality etc) is then marked as a percentage and an overal star scheme is awarded.

Why should I bother with a rating?

Schemes such as those offered by The AA and Visit Britain are more than just a plaque with some stars. The Inspectors are very highly trained in the Industry (Of which are Consultants once were).

The Inspectors will have a thorough tour of your property following a 'mysery visit' where they arrive unnounced for the night. Upon completion of this tour their feedback is increadibly useful for your business and how you can develop it.

Then comes the rating itself. Providing you are happy with your rating you can purchase a plaque from provider to place on your property including website etc. Additionally you will be featured on the website of the awarding body to their many thousands of visitors.

If you are thinking about using one of the above accreditation schemes then our Consultants will work with you to advise you what they feel your business will likely score if you were to be rated there and then.

For example:

One of our Consultants visits you during a 'mysery' visit. They will stay the night as per an Inspector and have breakfast the next morning. During the check-out procedure they will indetify themselves and then ask to meet with you.

Our Consultant will then ask for a full tour of the property before giving you their feedback. We will then provide a 'development report' that will highlight where you can improve in order to obtain a higher rating
